Little Bo Peep Knits

Little Bo Peep Knits has the most amazing yarns in such wonderful colors!! Melanie has been on Etsy for just over 1 year. She is offering FREE SHIPPING to the readers and those who enter the Give Away!! Just enter "blog" in the "comments to seller" when you purchase an item. WOOHOO!!

#1. How did you decide on your shop name?
My 7 year old son actually came up with my shop name! I was brainstorming one day and thinking out loud, telling him it needed to represent sheep and children. I started my shop by knitting wool diaper covers. ;) He piped up "Little Bo-Peep!" and the rest is history! :)

#2. When did you start crafting?
I've been crafting my whole life. My mom taught me how to cross stitch when I was about 8 years old. As a child my craftiness grew. I decorated cakes, made baskets, painted and more! When I was a newlywed I did a little bit of tole painting and sewing. Then when I had my 3rd child I began knitting wool diaper covers. It was during that time that I discovered the joy of yarn dyeing!

#3. What or who inspires you?
My family inspires me. :)

#4. Do you have a day job?
I'm a wife and mother to 3 kids and 2 dogs that we rescued from the pound so yes--I have a day job. lol

#5. What is the item in your shop you enjoyed making the most and why?
Oo, tough one. I enjoy making everything I sell. I think the Brynn colorway made me pleasantly surprised. I had a different colorway in mind when I started that and the dyes did NOT do what I wanted them to. lol I thought that it was a lost cause but it came out nicely, I think! I love that about yarn dyeing--sometimes you don't know what you're going to get! You might THINK you know, but you don't. ;)

THE GIVE AWAY!!
Melanie has been generous enough to offer this as the prize! I wish I could enter - would get Grandma to knit something up for me!! Love the color!!

"Woodland" was dyed using professional acid dyes on Blue Faced Leicester. Its coloring features shades of green and brown. The weight compares to heavy worsted weight yarns. 4.5 mm thick but 3 mm when stretched. This comes in a 3.5 oz (100 gram) hank (approx).Gauge 4-5 sts per inch, 12 wraps per inchNeedle size 7-9

The rules are the same as always:
* Go to Melanie's shop Little Bo Peep Knits,
*pick your favorite item,
*come back here and let me know what it is by leaving a link.
The draw will take place on April 15th AM.

~For 1 extra entry - blog about the give away, and leave the link here, in a seperate comment, so I can find it.
~For another entry - grab my button on the sidebar and add it to your blog
~For an extra 5 entries - purchase something from Melanie's shop - then leave a comment telling me what you purchased! Good Luck Everyone!!

Audrey's Country Crafts is in no way responsible for the mailing of the prize. After the name is drawn I will contact that person. They have 3 days to respond before another name will be picked! The name and address will be forwarded to Kristen. Thank-you for entering.

The supersaturated colors contrasting with the black would make any knit project into something very special.
