Needless to say I was thrilled when Tammy contacted me about hosting a give away for her. She has an amazing shop with a wonderful assortment of bags, accessories and vintage items.
*Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Tammy and I am from Arlington, Tn. I am 42 years old and a mother of 2 and a wonderful husband. My family is my greatest support in my journey into this new phase in my life. I am in my 25th year of being a manicurist and still have my first client that ever sat in my chair. I could share stories with you that would make your hair stand up from being in the salon buisness that long. I have always had a passion for textiles of all kind. My favorite is fabric and yarn. I am now taking full advantage of my love for sewing, knitting and crocheting.
*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business? My shop name derived form lots of random words from my 2 children.
*What types of items do you have? Do you have something new you will be adding? At StitchnStudio you will find unique handbags, purses, knitted and crocheted clothing, hats and accessories. Many of my items are one of a kind. I also like to share vintage finds. I am always adding new items to my shop.
*What do you like about being a seller?
As a seller I really like being able to share my unique items with others to enjoy.
*What’s your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can’t pass up?
Going into a fabric or yarn shop scares my husband to death. I cannot pass up a good looking piece of fabric or yarn. Every where we travel, they know I will get the phonebook out and find both. They are great sports about it and welcome my visits.
*Do you have a blog?
My blog is: http://stitchnstudio.blogspot.com
*What motivates or inspires you to create?
My inspirations come from everywhere. If I see something that I can recycle, I will pick it up. I cannot look at anything in a normal vision. Everything can be remade, altered or given a new life. I do admit to having lots of books and magazines that I find inspiring.
*What is your favorite on-line shop?
I could never have just one shop that I loved. There are so many creative people that (have) wonderful items to offer. Handmade anything is by far my favorite.
*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
I really enjoyed making the Free Spirit bag. It has so many functions and the colors all bright and beautiful.
