I found this wonderful Canadian company with some really great bags for shopping at wonderful prices! The company was conceived in Victoria B.C. by Diana Nethercott, a professional photographer with an eye for design and a desire to help wean people off plastic. Following many prototypes cut and sewn at the kitchen table, the result was a bag that marries fashion with creative design.

"I strived to create a functional bag that also looks good," says Diana. "I had little interest in carrying the bags offered by big retailers that lacked style and turned me into a walking billboard."

Diana worked hard to find a green-certified manufacturer. The EcoLogo assures the buyer that hotSACKS are an environmentally preferable - or green - product.

"In the last 10 years, I have personally saved about 5,000 disposable bags by using my own bags," says Diana. "Imagine if we all used re-usable bags. Let’s get carried away helping the environment!"
