Gift Basket from Castle Baths Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#139 - KATELYN!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I have no idea how I found Castle Baths, but what a wonderful site!! They have such a wide range/variety of products, it's hard to pick which you would like to try first! Lucky for me, they sent me a wonderful gift basket to review.

The basket contains a Body Mist in Bergamot Grapefruit scent, a sample size of soap in the same scent, and 4 of their Christmas Cookie Soap

I've used body mists before, quite often instead of perfume. This one is really lovely! Not to strong. As a school bus driver I have to be careful not to wear heavy perfumes in case a child is allergic or bothered by them. I've just started to like the grapefruit smell a few months ago - could get addicted to this one!

The soap is amazing! The scent is lovely - not to strong, but still there, and the soap will last quite a while. It lathers well, which for some reason is important to me. My skin feels clean yet not dry or greasy. It's really a very nice soap.

I was also sent some tiny tubes of different scents to try. There are 5 different ones: Sweet Communion, Sweet Dreams, Bathsheba, Restoration, and Prayer. I really like the Sweet Dreams and Prayer ones, though they are all really lovely scents. There are many different products you can get with each scent, so once you find a favorite . . . the options are endless :)

Please check out Castle Baths and don't forget to look at the sale sections listed right at the top!

Aroma Home Screen Wipe Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#216 - MARY!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

What does your computer screen look like? I'm not talking about the background picture you might have - I'm talking about the dust on the screen. How does it get there? It doesn't seem to matter how often I dust the office or wipe the screen - it's always dusty.

Aroma Home has the cutest Screen Wipes I have every seen! When I was offered the chance to do a review for one of their products I knew this was one I would love to try. Plus - I got to review one that looks like a pig!! :)

Isn't he just the cutest? Each screen wipes has a special chamois tummy to give your screens a clean, static-free shine with every wipe. They also have a hint of lemon scent to them. It's not strong - you almost have to stick your nose in the tummy to smell it. The pig is so nice and soft! It was amazing how clean it got my computer as well as the computer screen - the TV is next.

Check out the Body Comforts section for body warmers, feet warmers, neck warmers and more items to help you stay toasty on those cold winter nights. They have a really wonderful selection of colors and patterns to choose from.

They are really cute Cuddly Hotties in a variety of animals. As well as Fuzzy Friend slippers in Adult sizes and Kids sizes. There are so many more wonderfully cute items - you just have to go look! $25 Gift Certificate Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#76 HEIDI!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Do you have a pair for shoes that needs some dressing up? Shoeclips.biz can help you out! Why buy a new pair of shoes - when you can make the same pair look like 20 different pairs of shoes?

On a bright New England summer day Karen was creating a little garden around an antique fountain for her friend’s antique shop in Marion Massachusetts. When along came Marge, a woman with exquisite style and a flair for fashion. She presented Karen with a gift. Inside the box there was a lovely collection of vintage shoe clips. Delighted, and with her love of accessories, Karen brought the collection home to her studio. She wore the shoe clips for a week and dreamed of bringing back these popular accessories from years ago. She began designing, and with a little imagination and a lot of hard work Shoeclips.biz was born.

At Shoeclips.biz we aspire to bring you the largest, most amazing collection of embellishments for your shoes, constantly updating our online catalog to bring you the newest in styles and trends. We sincerely hope you enjoy our products. ~Karen & Lynn

What a great idea!! They have some of the coolest, funkiest, most colorful Shoe Clips. Having a wedding? There are Bridal clips. Or maybe you like Flowers, Feathers or maybe Bows. The possibilities are endless!

Since I don't dress up a lot and mostly wear sneakers and boots, I had my friend pick out some shoe clips for her daughter. She picked these really cute Rubber Pom Pom clips in pink.

Aren't they just the cutest? The second picture shows one with the clip closed and one clip open. The clips are pretty easy to open and close, they should stay on a shoe really well. It's easy to tell that they are well made and will last a long time. The clips are sturdy and the pom poms are attached in a way that they won't break or fall off easily. I wonder what they would look like on sneakers? lol

If you need to dress up some shoes - Shoeclips.biz is the place for you. They were so easy to do business with and the shipping was really quick! I would definitely recommend this company.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate from Shoeclips.biz!! Choose from bows, flowers, bridal, vintage, formal, casual fun and more! The possibilities are endless.

Shades of Her - Earrings Giveaway

AND THE WINNERs ARE:
#23 - BECKY!!
#507 - KYLIE!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

All women LOVE jewelry - right? lol I do, though I don't wear very much, on the farm it just doesn't make sense most of the time. But I do appreciate beautiful jewelry on other people.

Shades of Her is a new shop on the internet. Patricia has really lovely bracelets, earrings and necklaces that can be purchases from her site.

A little about Patricia:
I am sure most girls would agree with me when I say that jewelry is one of the bare necessities in a girl’s life. I have always loved how jewelry can add a little personality to an outfit, how a certain piece of jewelry can accentuate a girl’s features, and how there is absolutely no boundaries when creating a one of a kind piece.
After graduating from university, I decided to put my love for jewelry into something real. With the help of close friends and family, presto – bingo – Shades of Her was born!

Her Necklaces are wonderful colors, and designs. Each one is very different from the others, totally unique. This is my favorite necklace (though it was hard to choose!)

Do you like dangly Earrings? I do - they are my favorite kind. What's the point of wearing earrings if no one can see them? For some reason I also really like circles so after debating which of the many amazing earrings would be my favorite - I picked this pair :) Again - not an easy decision.

Can't forget the Bracelets! Talk about unique! They are all beautiful, elegant and some are just fun :) If you need one to go with a special dress to a party - it's here. Want just a really fun colorful bracelet to wear every day and that will go with lots of outfits - it's here too. I really like the colors of this one, and I think it's a multi-use bracelet.

All the items can be purchased from Patricia on her site and she ships Worldwide!! She has generously offered to have 2 winners for her give away! That's twice the chances of winning :)

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
2 winners will each receive a pair of Earrings (their choice) from Shades of Her!

Small Black Warm Buddies Bear Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#213 - MRS.SMITTY!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Winters are really cold where I live. Even with flannel sheets on the bed and a big comforter, crawling into bed at night can be hard on a person. Cold beds are just no fun! Even while sitting on the couch watching TV in the evening, we all have a blanket to keep warm.

I found something warm and fuzzy to help me with my situation. No - not a person :) A Bear!! Warm Buddy Co. has the softest and cutest teddies with warming packs, and I received one to review. Isn't he just the cutest?

How soft is he? I've been trying to find something to help me describe how soft the bear is but I just can't. Think of the softest thing you have every felt . . . This is softer! There is a Velcro pocket in the back of the bear that holds a small bag to put in the microwave if you want heat - or in the freezer to make the bear cool.  It's amazing how warm the bears body gets with the little heat pack!

The bears come in 3 sizes (mine is a small one) and range in price from $29.95 - $79.95. These would be really great gifts for a little one, or even an adult who is always cold.

They don't just carry bears. They have many different animals in different colors. Plus Eye pillows, wraps & masks and also Robes, throws and accessories.

Warm Buddy Company is proud to support bear rehabilitation centres with the proceeds from the sale of all our Beary the Bears. To learn more visit the Bear Matters section of our website. You can go HERE to learn more about the woman behind the company and all the different charities/organizations they support.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a Small Black Beary Bear from Warm Buddies Co. Small Beary Bear stands 14". These microwavable teddy bears come with a removable heat pack.

8x10 Photo Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#326 - POLLY!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Can you take amazing photo's? I know I can't. But I envy people who can. Kelly has some truly amazing photo's in her shop! LOVE the Marmot (large ground squirrel - looks just like a beaver to me)!!

*Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Kelly, a former West Coaster (Vancouver) now living in Montreal for the past 7 years. Last year was quite a pivotal one - I completed a diploma in Digital Photographic Imaging at Concordia University and I left my full time job to (finally) pursue my dream of working in the arts.

*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?
After a few years of selling my work through POD (Purchase on Demand) shops, I saw the demand for my work increase and thought I might try selling prints. I opened a shop on Etsy in April of this year and to my delight, I not only had sales slowly building, I had requests for larger format prints as well. I now offer cards, mini-prints and magnets in addition to a variety of formats.

*What or who inspires you?
I have an interest in anything design related whether it's architecture, mixed media, sculpture or the like. I love looking at design books, visiting art galleries and checking out the work of other artists on the web.

Often I find that my inspirations are completely dichotomous - the beauty of nature has always compelled me and I spend as much time as I can at Mount Royal or visiting the Botanical Gardens. However, I love the rougher parts of the city, particularly crumbling or abandoned buildings.

*What do you like about being a seller?
There are so many things to love about selling my own work. I not only get to express myself creatively, but I get to make money doing it. It may not be enough to survive on at this point, but the real payoff is knowing that people like my photography enough to want to put it on their wall or present it to someone else as a gift. I feel very honoured by this.

My buyers are much more to me than a transaction. Through my sales I've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of really great people, many of whom I now connect with via Twitter, Facebook or email. This extended communication has really enhanced the entire experience for me.

*What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
I love being outside enjoying nature - taking my bike along the Lachine canal or feeding squirrels and chipmunks at Mount Royal.

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
I tend to favour my black and white pieces due to the amount of time I spend working on them. Colour can be so seductive, but once it's removed, one must enhance and define the details in a much more creative way. I find the process challenging and therefore, more rewarding.

*Are there other places on the net we can find you?

$150 Day Planner Package Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#382 - 3LILACS!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

How do you keep your life organized? I have to write everything down. It seems that after I turned 40 my memory disappeared. I have no idea where it went - can't remember where I put it :)

This last year I finally bought a Day Planner to help me organize my two blogs and basically my life. It's been an amazing item to own! As soon as I know what's happening during the week I write it down. It sits in front of my computer at all times - never moves. If it moves - I'll forget where it went and be totally lost. Obviously I need a new on for 2011, it's not that far away, so I started looking around to see what my options were. I came across this amazing site with a wonderful variety of different planners.

Franklin Covey is a Canadian company but also ships to the US. They sent me the Blooms Ring-bound Weekly Planner Refill and the Blooms Starter Pack to review. Wait until you see the give away prize!!

I purchased a cheap black binder until I can find one I really like in red and so I could take photo's to show you what the pages look like :) LOVE this planner!! You can see the whole week at a glance, and each day is divided into 12 hour slots. Plus there is extra room at the end of each column for "Daily Tasks". Between each week are blank pages for "Weekly Notes" - very important!! I write notes to myself all the time. I love the tabs for the months! My last planner doesn't have these and it's hard to find the months some times.

When shopping for the planner that fits you - the choices are endless. There are Day Planners, Weekly Planners, Ring Bound, Wire Bound, etc. They also have Binders to hold the refills, Bags & Cases to hold the binder and many Accessories to make your life a little more organized.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a Her Point Of View Binder in their color choice, a Blooms Ring-bound Weekly Planner Refill and the Blooms Starter Pack from Franklin Covey.

I'm in love!! The soap smells amazing! Why is it that scent is the first thing you always notice? I've been using it in the shower this week. Really really lovely soap! This is available in Fall & Winter only. I was reading the description of the soap: In combination of Anise and Nutmeg helps to calm, relax, and relieve stress. May also improve blood circulation, and boost brain activity. Well I could definitely help in the brain activity department :) There are many different scents of the Natural Soaps to choose from, you really need to check them out!

The lip balm is also really lovely. The scent isn't over powering, it lasts a long time, but without the greasy feel you get with some balms. There are 6 different types of Lip Balms to choose from. My sister-in-law would LOVE the Espresso Lip Balm :)

Snowman Pendant Giveaway

AND THE WINNER IS:
#368 - PPREACHERSWIFE!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I love pendants and snowmen, so when I find a shop that has both - I'm so happy! :) Gifts for all Seasons has some of the most wonderful and unique pendants I've found. Wait until you see the prize!! But first please read about the woman behind this amazing shop.

Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a Denver Colorado native, born and raised, at the foot of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I am a single mom of a 16 year old daughter, Annie. I have been making pressed flower jewelry for over 24 years, and love it more and more each day. I am constantly challenging myself to create new, unique, and one of a kind pieces that I feel my customers would love as much as I do in creating them.

*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?
I started this so long ago, it's hard to remember exactly when. When I was just doing small craft shows, I remember thinking if I ever did this on a bigger scale, what I create is really a gift for all seasons...and a name was born. It really does sum up my love for each season, which here in Colorado we have 4 unique seasons, but not always in the right order. Last year, on the last day of Summer, it was snowing! I was rushing around trying to press all the flowers I could before they froze. We have some really crazy weather here. Old saying if you live here in Denver is "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes, and it'll change. That is so true.

*What or who inspires you?
Anything in nature inspires me. I love gardening, and wanted to try to preserve some of these works of art by Mother Nature. Once I learned the art of pressing flowers, it opened up a whole new world, and my creative mind was racing, and still is to this day. It started by making greeting cards, photo mats, gift cards. I then wanted to do something to create what I love, into something we all could wear, such as jewelry to enjoy as well as people I came across during my day. After years of experimenting, some victories, some failures...I have now got myself to a point that I know what works with what flowers, and what doesn't. Some flowers press better than others, some don't hold their color, and on and on. I have also developed a love of photography, of flowers, sunsets, butterflies, anything that moves me at that moment. I always have my camera with me, and a lot of my best photographs have been in the spur of the moment, unplanned, never staged.

*What are 5 things you want people to think when they see your product?
I hope it brings a memory of something close to their heart. Either a childhood memory as with my daisy jewelry "He love me, He loves me not". Most of us remember doing that with a daisy, petal by petal, and of course always ending up with 'He loves me!" Also a memory of a wedding, a summer vacation, or just a favorite flower that someone never knew could be pressed and created into something to cherish, and wear anytime you choose.

*What’s your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can’t pass up?
This is a tough one, and a toss up! Probably jewelry findings, and flowering plants would be my first and it's a tie. I see something, and my mind starts going to what I have recently pressed, or can press, and looking for the perfect casting for it's new home, and where this beautiful blossom will become a meaningful piece for someone special.

*What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
One thing I try to do everyday is go for a walk, weather permitting. It's good for your mind, spirit and creativity. There is so much you see when walking you won't see when you are driving. Camera in hand, of course. I love spending time with my beautiful, amazing daughter, doing anything. I am so very proud of her, and to be her mother. She my pride and joy, and I love her more and more each day. And time with my friends...this is so very important to me as well. Since I lost both my mother and father, this is my family. I am a very blessed person when it comes to my friends. I have a few friends that I could not live without. Karen is my lifelong best friend from childhood, went to school together since kindergarten, and have been best friends for over 50 years. She is a talented watercolor artist on Etsy under Karenannkreations. You must see her amazing art! I have a friend Colleen, who is so very dear to me, and Debbie, who we have worked together many years ago, been through a lot of the same challenges together, and are two of my dearest friends, and biggest supporters. Sweet Poppins, who is an original, and is my own Mary Poppins (is from England) and fellow gardening buddy and flower lover. She lets me come and raid her garden, flower press in hand. And then there is fabulous Carol, who is amazing, kind hearted, and one of the best people in the world. These ladies are such a huge part of my life, and are amazing ladies and an inspiration to me, and treaure them all. All of these ladies encouraged me to get on Etsy. I must also mention Leah from Luv2Have on Etsy. You must visit her shop! She creates the most beautiful dichroic glass jewelry I have ever seen. I met Leah through Etsy, as she was my very first purchase on Etsy, long before I was selling on Etsy, and we have become best of friends. She has been my mentor, dear, and best friend, and amazingly supportive, as all of these amazing women are. I love these women, and how unique, supportive, kind and loving they are towards me. I feel very blessed to have each of them in my life, and am so grateful. Don't know what I would ever do without them. And of course a day doesn't go by without creating new jewelry. My passion, and such a joy to do!

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
I think when I see such a beautiful flower that I have nurtured and grown, many from seed, to see them as sprouts, then thriving plants, and then blooming. To press these I think gives me the most enjoyment, since I saw it from beginning to the finished piece of jewelry. This can takes 3-4 months from start to finish. Very gratifying and fulfilling.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive this beautiful Snowman Pendant from Gifts for All Seasons!
