I remember reading to the boys when they were little, or showing them picture books and having to hold the book away from curious fingers and mouths :) Ah the good old days! LOL
Indestructibles has a set of wonderful picture books for every little child, that they can play with, chew on, bend etc, but the books will never get broken!! Isn't that amazing!!
Indestructibles™ was founded by a mother of triplets who quickly found that paper books, even "board books" are too easily turned to mush and can even be a choking hazard. Wishing to provide her children with a book that they could "read" as much as they wanted, she enlisted the help of Kaaren, who developed three working prototypes--three beautiful child-size picture books that were instant and enduring hits. In December 2009 the books will be released by Workman Publishing. Look for them at a store near you soon!
Indestructibles™ is a company with a groundbreaking product--books that babies can actually handle and "read" without being damaged! Indestructibles are printed on a special material, which has the properties of being soft and paper-like, yet waterproof and tear-resistant.
There are three wonderful books in the series: Flutter! Fly!, Wiggle! March! and Creep! Crawl! which I was sent to review and play with :) Everyone know that babies love bright colorful items and the book has wonderful colorful pages!
So - I bent it, licked it (tastes like paper) etc and was amazing how durable the book is. These will be perfect for any child learning about the joy of books!
NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
One lucky person will win the wonderful set of Indestructible's Children's Book!
THIS GIVE AWAY IS CLOSED!
The draw will take place on: July 23 @ 10PM Central
This is open to US & Canada Only!
Good Luck Everyone!!
Audrey's Country Crafts is in no way responsible for the mailing of the prize. After the name is drawn I will contact that person. They have 2 days to respond before another name will be picked! The name and address will be forwarded. Thank-you for entering!!
Disclosure: I was provided a complimentary of this product by Indestructibles, for review and giveaway purposes. No monetary compensation was provided and opinions of the product are solely my own.
Regular board books are too easily turned to mush and can even be a choking hazard. So safety was a driving force!

ReplyDelete"board books" are too easily turned to mush and can even be a choking hazard when children chew on them.
ReplyDeleteRegular books turn to mush from chewing and can be a safety hazard.
ReplyDeleteRegular board books are a choking hazard, she wanted safe books! I have a 5 month old who hasn't mastered the art of eating books yet ~ but I have watched her 10 month old cousin doing so. Safe books was a genius idea for sure.
ReplyDeletevery cool! a mother had the idea to create books that would not turn to much when babies chew on them
ReplyDeleteAs a mother of triplets, she quickly found that paper books too easily turned to mush as her kids "read" them. So, she wanted to create a book that they could handle and read without being damaged or a choking hazard.

ReplyDeleteShe designed these books because she noticed (as all us Moms eventually do) that paper books and even board books are easily turned to mush and can become a choking hazard. She wanted to create books that babies could actually read and handle without being damaged. Why didn't I think of this?!? LOVE this idea!
