Valentine's Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
SweetShenanigans
CONGRATULATIONS!!

When I first opened The Christmas Corner I thought it would be a place to showcase the Christmas Ornaments I paint every year. Didn't think that I would branch out to do every season/holiday :) I guess I should have thought about that when I named my shop! But after meeting so many amazing people on Etsy in the last couple of months, I decided to stay open all year. So now The Christmas Corner is getting ready for Valentine's Day.

Since I'm a coffee drinker - quite addicted actually, I started making coasters. There are quite a few around my house - but I can never find them! Where do they go? I had to go quite a bit of experimenting to get them just right, but now I'm very happy with them. Had a new friend on Etsy ask about matching coffee mugs - so I'm now experimenting with them too :) This is really quite a bit of fun!

My shop also now carries bottlecap magnets and scrabble tile magnets. You should see my fridge :) I LOVE magnets! When we purchased the new fridge 2 years ago, hubby was really hoping to get one that magnets wouldn't stick too, but it's amazing how many of the magnets HE uses for notes! lol

So to celebrate the fact the my shop is now open year round - I thought I would do a give away!

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner can pick their choice of 2 coasters or 2 sets of magnets from the shop!  Will be adding more throughout the month.

Trashy Earrings Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
#99 - HELENA!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Ever since I got my ears pierced I've loved dangling earrings :) Don't know why, but it's just the way it is. And most often they will be bright, fun and different. Why wear the same gold or silver hoops every day? Boring!

I was contacted by this really wonderful site that has earrings made from recycled materials. Trashy Earrings asked if they could send me a pair of earrings in exchange for a feature. I thought - Why Not a Give Away!! They agreed :)

What is Trashy Earrings you ask?
Women in several small villages outside of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, collect trash from their neighborhoods, such as chip bags, drink bottles, and more, and then produce lovely earrings out of their homes.

We pay them a very fair price. Our motives are not for profit; we're a social business. For our bottom line, we only ever break even and the primary goal is to keep the women working (and provide employment!).

Go HERE to find out more about their story. And HERE to meet their Featured Seller.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive their choice of earrings from Trashy Earrings!

Here are the Rules to enter the Give Away.
Please leave an email so I can contact you if you win!

Oregon Chai Tea/Mug Giveaway - 3 winners!

The Winners Are:
JESSICA
JEANNINE
ROBYNL
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I drink my coffee black, but LOVE flavored teas!! Have you ever tried a Tea Latte? Only found out about them a couple of weeks ago, when Oregon Chai offered to do a review/give away here.

I was sent two different types of Lattes. A package with 8 envelopes of powder you add to hot water, and concentrate that you can add to milk and drink either hot or cold.

They both pretty much look the same after mixed, and also are both the Honey, Black Tea & Spices flavor. Luke (son1) and I tried them both and really like them! It's a very interesting flavor - hard to pin point what the spices are, but they are really delicious. Perfect for these really cold days we have been having lately.

They have a very interesting story about how it all started. You can read about it HERE. They also have many wonderful RECIPES using their products. Might have to try the sticky buns!! I'm glad I found the recipes before we finished all the concentrate!

The Concentrates come in 7 flavors and can be purchased for $5.49/ea. The Mixes come in 4 flavors and can be purchased for $5.29/ea., though they do have sample packs too. LOVE sample packs!!

If you love tea and have never tried a Latte - you really need to give these a try! They really are wonderful!

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
3 winners will each receive a Chai Tea Latte Concentrate and a wonderful Oregon Chai mug!

a HONEY of a Giveaway!

THE WINNER IS:
JS22!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Ok - the title is a bad play on words, I admit :) But yes, this is a review for some really amazing Honey! Tropical Traditions isn't just about coconut oil.

I love honey! Use it in my tea, twice a week for breakfast on a multi-grain bagel, and sometimes even for cooking. Usually I would purchase the honey at the local grocery store in liquid form, but since trying Organic Raw Honey from Tropical Traditions, the honey at the grocery store will not be my first choice. Please click on the link to read about the honey and where it comes from.

Photobucket

When I opened the jar I was sent, I was surprised at how firm the honey was. Did need to soften it a bit to get it to spread on my bagel, but the taste is worth it :) And since it is in "solid" form, the honey doesn't run all over my hand while I'm eating. It's really amazing honey! What's even better is it's Canadian, and Organic! (I'm Canadian, but not totally organic - lol) I would definitely recommend this wonderful honey to everyone! It comes in two sizes:
1) 17.6oz jar and sells for $10.99 (on sale right now)
2) 15lb pail that sells for $129.99 (on sale also)
You can also purchase a 60lb pail of the honey, but what would you do with that much honey?

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a 17.6oz Jar of Organic Honey from Tropical Traditions!

Ninja Logic T-Shirt Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
#123 ROSWELL!
CONGRATULATIONS!

*Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
The dreaded Where are you from? question. I was born in Biloxi, MS but have never lived there. I spent the first six years of my life in England, the next ten in Singapore and a smattering in between in various states in the US. My parents were missionaries, so I spent the first 22 years of my life traveling all over the world. I like to say I'm from everywhere, though it sounds a little cliche. It left me with an open-mind and a very strong sense of curiosity.

*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?
I started Pepper's Apothecary a couple years ago, mostly as a hobby.

*What are 5 things you want people to think when they see your product?
- Amusement
- Entertainment
- Open-Minded
- Geekery
- Illogical Logic

*What's your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can't pass up?
Fragrances. I admit to ordering a lot more fragrance varieties than I need to. It's a sickness. I'm going to start a FA(Fragrance Anonymous), and develop a 12 step program. I can't be the only person addicted to things that smell good.

*What do you do when you are not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
Reading and photography are probably the two greatest things that I spend my time on.

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
It's probably a tie between the Ninja Logic t-shirt & the Nipple Rings t-shirt.

*If you could give a piece of advice to a new shop - what would it be?
Be patient. Be polite & respectful of customers and other sellers. Be yourself. Take risks, but calculated risks.

$25 Gift Certificate Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
#113 - NATALIE!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I learned to make jams and jellies from my Gremma... I have fond memories of running into her kitchen, and seeing my Gremma turning her homegrown Grappa Italian grapes into jellies, wine and vinegar. Sometimes I would hide under the kitchen table and while Gremma wasn't looking, I would dip my little fingers in the colorful jelly waiting to be canned.

My Gremma died a few years ago, at the age of 92, but I remember my childhood with her as it happened yesterday.

How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?
I began my ETSY business because I was laid off.
When something is good, people say "it hit the spot"... and because I began my ETSY store with jams/jellies (not potato pouches), I thought "the sweet spot" would be neat concept, except I changed the spelling a bit

*What are 5 things you want people to think when they see your product?
JAMS: they are handcrafted, recipes passed down from my Gremma and/or inspired by her. Each bath is made with attention to detail, and we want the inside of the jar to be as special of the jar.

*What’s your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can’t pass up?
fabric for potato pouches... love to find variety and specific themes...
for jams... love to experiment with exotic combinations

*What do you do when you’re not creating? What activities do you enjoy?
making memories with my family

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
everything in my shop I enjoy making

*If you could give a piece of advice to a new shop - what would it be?
discover what you are passionate about and you can make a business out of it, because there is a niche for everything.

*Are there other places on the net we can find you?
facebook
dasweetzpot.etsy
and there are lots of articles and stories written about my shop, simply google dasweetzpot.etsy

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
Winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to DaSweetZpot on Etsy. This shop is filled with Handcrafted Gourmet Gifts and Eco Friendly Gadgets! Jams & Jellies, Glazes & Marinades, Toppings & Syrups - just to name a few.

Tropcial Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
OUTSIDEREIN!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

I love peanut butter and I love coconut, but have never heard of Coconut Peanut Butter! So when I saw it on Tropical Traditions and was given the chance to try it - I couldn't turn it down.

I was quite surprised at how firm the Coconut Peanut Butter is. Not as smooth as creamy as regular peanut butter but I think that's because of the coconut and the fact that it's not full of chemicals and fillers.

"Tropical Traditions Organic Coconut Peanut Butter is made from organic peanuts and organic coconut. Two ingredients: nothing else! No fillers, no binders, no sweeteners, and no preservatives. The peanuts are 100% organic Valencia peanuts grown organically by family farmers in New Mexico and Texas. Grown in the dry climate of the southwestern United States, these peanuts are certified organic and free from aflatoxins. The dried coconut is certified organic coconut meat from the Philippines from coconuts that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. Together, these premium organic roasted peanuts and the premium organic dried coconut are ground together to make a delicious and nutritious spread!"

This product is really good on a multi-grain bagel! Breakfast 3 times a week used to consist of a bagel with regular peanut butter - but no more! This Coconut Peanut Butter is amazing!! If you love coconut and love peanut butter - you really need to try this!!

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a 16 oz jar of Coconut Peanut Butter from Tropical Traditions.

3 Page Website Giveaway

THE WINNER IS:
DONNA!!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Would you love to have your own website - but just don't know how to make one? I found the perfect shop for you!!

Photobucket

But before we get to the give away - let's learn a little bit more about the shop.

*Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I'm from Missouri in the USA. I'm addicted to the computer so I LOVE making websites and graphics like banners and logos. I like animals but limit myself to 1 dog and 1 cat.
When I'm not designing on the computer I have a full time job. I enjoy drawing (and wish I could make that my craft) and reading. Games are great too, I like to play card and board games with my family (have you heard of sequence?) and video games with my brother. I can't wait to try the xbox kinect.

*How did you decide on your shop name? Why did you start your business?
My dad's nickname for me when I was little was "doodlebug", so when trying to figure out a name I decided to use that and "digital" since I was selling online. It works on two levels now because "doodle" relates to making graphics.

*What’s your supply addiction; is there a specific color or type of supply you just can’t pass up?
Since most things are made with photoshop I don't have a supply addiction, but I do have an addiction to buying fabric that I never end up using. Anytime I see a beautiful fabric I want to buy it (even though I don't sew), so I ask my mom what could be made out of it :)

*What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
I got into web design years ago helping my mom list on ebay. We would see auctions that had pictures in the description and said "how do they do that". Found out it was html so I started learning it. My mom always has crafts going so I learned more html to build websites for her craft (since they were too expensive to have made). Then I wanted to offer affordable website design for the small business and craft person like my mom.

*Which item in your shop did you enjoy making the most and why?
My favorite item I have made was the wedding cake clip art. It was the first thing I made with adobe illustrator and I was surprised and happy that I could make something like that.

*If you could give a piece of advice to a new shop - what would it be?
My advice to new shops is to not under price your work. I'm upping my prices as my portfolio grows, but guess what? Having lower prices doesn't help you sell more things. So give your products value and don't forget to pay yourself after the material cost.

*Are there other places on the net we can find you?
I have a website -  http://digitaldoodlebug.com/
Blogdigitaldoodlebug.com/blog/
and just started a facebook page -  www.facebook.com/pages/Digitaldoodlebug/180629705293110#!/pages/Digitaldoodle...
I will be posting coupons on my blog, and my facebook page if that gains popularity.

NOW FOR THE GIVE AWAY!
The winner will receive a 3 page Website with One Year hosting from Digital Doodlebug!
Some Examples of sites she has done:
