Do you love coffee? I need a cup every morning with breakfast. It's not really a matter of wanting a cup - it's definitely needing a cup of coffee in the morning. Black please :) So when I was approached by Kahve Koffee about doing a give away on my blog - I had to say yes!
A bit about Kahve Koffee:
We're Obsessed with Quality. Just read our testimonials. People are positively addicted to Kahvé Koffee and for good reason. We are obsessive about our beans, our roasting, our packaging and our freshness. Our loyal customers will tell you they have never had a better, more consistent cup of coffee. They rely on us to deliver time and time again a perfect cup of their favorite blend or varietal. We are determined never to disappoint. To that end, our process is labor intensive and we double check ourselves every step of the way. We evaluate the quality and consistency of each and every roast and each and every shipment. The result... an intoxicating blend of aroma and taste, the likes of which you have never known.
Our Roasting is an Art. Our master roaster is personally responsible for all of our coffees. He knows the harvest, the altitude, the growing conditions and most of all the quality of our beans. He studies beans from around the world and chooses only the finest for Kahvé Koffees. After all, it really is all about the beans
They have many many different types of Coffee Beans.
You can get Light Roast: This roast is known by several names. It is often referred to as the “brown” roast, primarily due to the light brown color that results. It is also know as the American or City roast. In general, a light roast preserves the delicate acidity of a bean. Brightness and flavorful high notes are also characteristic.
Light/Medium Roast: The full city roast was an important part of the specialty coffee movement in the United States. Made famous by pioneers such as Schapira’s Coffee & Tea of New York, this roast is a bit darker than the City roast. There is little or no oil emerging from the surface of the beans. However, the color is a notable darker shade of brown.
Medium/Dark Roast: The middle roast, most commonly called Viennese, is a style falling roughly half-way between Full City and French. As the beans roast, oils extracted from within coat the surface. In the case of Viennese beans, these oils are clearly visible, but the coating is still uneven. By now, the distinctively “dark” flavor of the roasting process begins to overcome the more delicate flavors of the beans themselves. Carmelization lends added body and a pleasant, bittersweet quality.
Dark Roast: Once beyond the middle roast, beans make a dramatic transformation. The surface of the bean glistens with an even coat of oils. The color darkens to a burnt umber (French Roast), eventually a true black (Italian Roast). Carmelization and carbonization create a flavor that is unmistakably “dark.” It is a myth, however, that a dark-roasted coffee is stronger than light-roasted. It is the amount of the coffee used in brewing that affects the coffee’s potency. The flavor of a dark roast is not subtle and is often an acquired taste.
There is also Espresso, Decaf, Single Origin coffees, and let's not forget Flavored coffee. If coffee isn't your thing - they also have Teas & Cocoa!
